Ohh! I thought I'd updated this :P

The meeting went really well, she said she could smell the drugs as soon as she came into the block, so more evidence against them, now from a housing officer. I offered her a drink which she gladly accepted and said she's very fussy what homes she accepts a drink from. While I was making the drink she said that those at 29 (the ones above me) have also put in for a move, but with the ASB on them and the fact she doesn't even have a secure tenancy yet her chances are virtually non exsitant (she also said she was glad she came to me first and that I hadn't heard that from her!) ;)

She was here for about 2 hours and went through every aspect including my RA, what surgery i'd had what was on the horizon etc.

by the end of this week, or the beginning of next at the latest, I'll have a username and password to an online system for properties suitable for me, all i do is click on the properties I'm interested in. She has given me her direct dial number and email address and has said that if there's anything she can do to help she will.

A really positive 2 hours, and the wheels are now in motion for a move

Hi Jo

What a shame it had to get to this point before something positive came about. Great news Jo and happy property hunting ThumpUp

Dear Jo,

I am so relieved that you should be getting out of there soon. Well done for keeping at them. I would still keep a diary of all that goes on though just in case of broken promises and denial of what you have been told.

Hope that you are feeling better with all of this. It is a wonder that you did not crack up with all the stress and worry.

Take care,

Eleanor x

Hi Jo

I feel so sad that it has taken all this time, and lots of hard work on your part, to finally get "those in charge" to realise what a problem you have. I'm really pleased that you've been taken seriously at long last, and hope you can find somewhere more suitable to live soon.

Love Lyn

Hi Jo

Just wondered whether you've received your username and password yet and home hunting is about to commence with earnest (is he a friend of yours?!)! Cool

No nothing yet, I've emailed Rose, to let her know it's not here yet.

Had a call from Mr useless at the council when i got home, he seems like a different person since the meeting with his manager ;)

Asked me to keep him updated, and has told me they have no more warnings with the evidence against them. I told him there had been an improvement the last 2 days or so, to which he replied, yes probably for a week then they'll start again... totally different attitude to before :)

I want my password and start bidding on places!!!!

I'll keep you all posted :) And thanks for all your support

HUGS

It's something that Mr Useless has had his eyes opened and I guess any respite is better than none! I'm getting quite excited about you finding a new home so can't wait for news. Fingers crossed the password comes through soon and there's something just right for you Smile

When I escape I'll spam the forum with pics of my new home don't worry Lyn :)

I'll be able to spend more time on here too, as the stress of it all means I often go out all day just to get away from "home" as it does my stress levels no good at all.

I don't want much, just somewhere nice where my neighbours have some consideration for others, anything more than that (like a good community spirit) would be a very welcome extra :)

Grumpy Jo. ;)

ThumpUp ThumpUp Fantastic news!! ThumpUp ThumpUp

Bet you can't wait until your username etc arrives.... Will you be checking out the areas of places you like... Its something we've definitely said we'll do for next place... even if it means visiting at 10pm to see what the 'nightlife' is like

Luckily though, because we are going for a bungalow, we've found that the areas are completely different to where houses/flats are... quieter and more of a community spirit

That's a good idea Helly, I would also go and ask the neighbours, as I'm aiming for a bungalow I'm hoping for that community spirit, as it's something that was alive and well in the road where the bungalow I was after at the end of last year.

sadly that never came about, but we'll see what this new attitude towards my problems takes me :)

Still no sign of my username and password to get onto the housing site.

Sent Rose (the housing officer who came to visit) an email.. within 2 mins I'd got them BigGrin

Already seen a few nice bungalows in my area, a few have age restrictions, but I'm going to ask if my disability would count towards those too...

right.. back to my escape plans!!!

Thanks for all the support folks

I'm trying to stay close to my current Gp and in a similar area as it will make my hospital visits easier.

I've just found an empty bungalow, I know where it is, might have to go and have a sneaky look ;)

Here it is.. Take a peep I might go for it... :)

has Garden, Gas Central heating and double glazing :)
